Under the Hood

• Inspection Photos – At least 20+ quality digital photos showing highlights of the vehicle's condition plus any visible damage 

Vehicle and Options

• Odometer Reading – Verification of VIN, model type and odometer reading
• Vehicle Options – Verification of options on the vehicle, such as color, series or trim type, and body type. We will also document the type of doors, wheels, and roof.
• Roof Rack and/or Roof Rails – Presence and condition of roof rack and/or roof rails

Truck

• Truck-Specific Options – Verify presence of a variety of truck options, including crew cab, dual rear wheels, extended cab, flare, fleet, long box, short box, quad cab and steps.

Exterior

• Windshield – Condition, damage or previous repair of the windshield.
• Windows and tinting – Condition, damage and operation of windows, including presence of tinting.
• Hood, Front Bumper, Grille – Condition, damage and previous repair of the hood, cowl, front grille and front bumper including fit and finish, latches, springs, dents, dings, scratches, etc.
• Roof, Rear Bumpers and Body Panels – Condition, damage and previous repair of all body panels, including all fenders, doors, quarter panels, rear bumper, and roof.
• Headlights and Wipers – Presence, condition and operation of headlights, parking lights and any front or rear window wipers.
• Park Assist – Presence, condition and operation of front and rear park assist feature.
• Tow or Trailer Hitch – Presence and condition of tow package or trailer hitch, including dents, bends or missing parts
• Hatches, Tailgates and Trunks – Presence, condition and previous repair of deck lids, hatches, tailgates or trunks, including fit and finish, latches, springs, dents, scratches, etc.
• Bed Liner, Cargo Cover and Cargo Net – Presence and condition of the bed liner, cargo cover or cargo net.
• Bug Guards – Presence and condition of a brush guard or bug deflector.
• Wind deflectors and Running Boards – Presence and condition of wind deflectors.

Wheels and Tires

• Tires, Wheels And Wheel Covers – Proper operation, condition and any indications of previous or sub-standard repair.
• Tire Specifications – Tire Manufacturer, size, speed rating
• Depth of Tread – Actual current measurement of the tire tread depth, identification of any previous repair
• Spare Tire – Presence, condition and previous repair of spare tire

Under The Hood and Engine Maintenance Components

Please note: Our Standard Inspections and Asset Verifications are visual-only inspections performed by qualified professionals. These inspections are designed to provide you with the most comprehensive information in the shortest amount of time possible. We do not remove any vehicle parts during the process. This is not a mechanical inspection, which generally requires the use of certain tools and diagnostic equipment. Mechanical inspections typically cost more, take more time, and require the car to be brought to a garage and put on a lift.

• Engine Specifications – Verification of number of cylinders, engine size displacement, drive type, fuel type, transmission type, and presence of a turbo or supercharger
• Fluid Levels – Presence of all fluids required for the car and any visual indications of leaks or other damage.
• Fluid level verification includes:
• Oil
• Transmission Fluid
• Brake Fluid
• Power Steering Fluid
• Coolant
• Battery, Belts And Hoses – Presence, condition and any visual indications of damage to the battery, belts or hoses
• Odometer Tampering – Visual indications of odometer tampering (note: We do not remove any parts during our verification process.)

Interior

• Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors And Pedals – Presence, condition and function of power windows, power locks, power mirrors (including heated mirrors) and power pedal controls.
• Power Steering – Presence and function of power steering.
• Power Brakes and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) – Presence and function of power brakes and ABS systems.
• Steering Wheel – Presence and function of multifunctional steering wheels and the tilt wheel feature, including power tilt wheels.
• Cruise Control – Presence and function.
• Rear Defogger – Presence and function.
• Interior Lights – Presence and function.
• Trim Panels and Wood Trim – Presence and condition of trim panels or wood trim.
• Airbags – Total count of airbags.
• Air Conditioning – Presence, type and function of air conditioning, including rear A/C and rear heating.
• Horn – Function.
• Hood Release, Fuel Door and Trunk Release – Presence and proper function.
• Owner’s Manual, Service Manuals And Document Case – Presence and condition.
• Color – Color of the interior, including seating upholstery.

Seating

• Front and Rear Seating – Style, presence, condition and function of all seating, including indications of prior damage or repair. Includes the presence and condition of a third seat.
• Power Seats and Memory Seats – Presence, function and indications of damage or repair.
• Heated Seats – Presence and function.

Audio & Video Components

• Power Antenna – Presence, condition and function.
• Radio, Cassette and CD Player – Presence, condition and function, including any prior damage or repair, and whether the component is original or aftermarket.
• Includes presence and condition of CD Changer or Multidisc systems.
• Navigation and Navigation Disc – Presence, condition and function, including any prior damage or repair, and whether the component is original or aftermarket.
• Satellite Radio, iPod Dock, Auxiliary Jack – Presence, condition and function, including any prior damage or repair, and whether the component is original or aftermarket.
• Video Screen, VCR, DVD, A/V Remote Control, Headphones – Presence, condition and function, including any prior damage or repair, and whether the component is original or aftermarket. Includes presence and condition of Headrest DVD.

Test Drive (When the seller and road conditions permit)

• Please note: In certain conditions a road test cannot be performed due to:
• Weather conditions or other unsafe road conditions
• Permission is not granted by the seller
• Proper insurance or registration is not available for the vehicle
• Other unforeseen issues
• In these situations, we will still attempt to start the engine and engage the transmission to ensure the car is drivable.
• Confirmation of Test Drive – Indication on the condition report whether a road test was performed, or if the inspector was limited to starting the engine only and engaging the transmission
• Drivability – Confirmation the engine operates and the transmission engages.
• Starting – Function and indications of damage, such as sounds or misfires. Battery strength is also reviewed.
• Engine – Function and indications of damage, such as inconsistent running, abnormal sounds or visual indication of leaks.
• Transmission -- Condition of gear-shift control and/or clutch, proper shift function, and indications of damage, such as locking or not engaging.
• Steering and Drive Line -- Function and indications of damage, such as pulling, roughness, steering control, impact of braking, and transmission shifts.
• Brakes -- Function and indications of damage, such as pulling or roughness. Includes performance of power brakes.
• Climate Control -- Function and condition of controls, including confirmation of proper temperature
• Suspension – Function and performance relating to the give and control of the car while underway.
